2015 911 Carrera S Cab
1st time owner.
Love sound of sport exhaust (crackling), but chose sport chrono instead.
Can someone explain the exhaust sound difference between sport exhaust vs sport plus? Can't seem to find a clear answer anywhere. Thanks in advance.

I think you will find they are only marginally related- if that. When you are in sport / sport plus (Chrono) you get more of the engine sound inside above about 3000 rpm, but that's intake noise, not exhaust noise. Sport Chrono will give you launch control if you have PDK (which improves 0-60 times) and a chronometer.
Congratulations on your new cab. Is it PDK?

If I remember correctly:
In Sport Plus you will get "overrun" when you take your foot off the gas. In short the engine dumps more fuel into the exhaust manifold so you hear popping and more noise. In Sport, or in "normal" mode, with the exhaust on, you get the louder exhaust without the overrun popping.
