Guess where the first little rock landed? Go full hood all the way!
LOL. My I bought my 2007TT in 2010 and the only ding happens a few weeks later when a cop came down my road and a rock was strown about three inches above my clear bra, resulting in one small ding in my paint. In six years nothing has hit me. Must have been some bad karma way back then .... LOL

Full hood all the way... it is a must. I have a half hood on my tt. kept telling my self to change it to a full hood, and you guessed it.... got a chip above the film. There are many other prone places that require film. Use a good installer and it is hardly noticable. As mentioned previously, the key is in the installer. Seeing his work is a must. I have it done to all my cars. A good installer may have to remove body parts to tuck correctly. Dealers dont usually use top end installers.
