You definitely can have both. I thought it was weird too when I first realized that.

Once I add the options, I'm coming out over budget on the '17. Is it worth getting a 2015 or should I wait until the 2017's hit CPO?

What do you guys think?
How much is a new 991.2 C4 Cab? $120-130K w/options?

Dunno. If it was my money I'd get a low mileage, well optioned CPO 991.1 C4S cab for $100-110K and save your self $20K. Plus I think the 991.1 w/the naturally aspirated engines will be worth more over time.

Yup, your price estimates are spot on - $20k difference between a 991.2 base and 2-year-old CPO 991.1S.

I think you can get a low mileage 991.2 C4 late next year for $100-110K or perhaps less depending on when they announce the next generation.

At the end of the day, if you plan to keep the car for a while its probably better to spend the extra $10-15K and get what you want. Personally I think a naturally aspirated 911 are going to be in demand as fewer NA engines will come from Porsche and there are excellent deals to be had with low mileage 991.1 C4/C4S. Either way you can't go wrong and good luck as part of the fun is the search!

I just went through the same process. I was looking at a '16 C4S coupe, PDK, Premium plus, Bose, PSE, plus some others: 14,000 miles CPO'd that I could have had for $101 to $102k, or a new '17. I drove both the new S and base Carrera turbo's. I have owned "numerous" 911's including a '12.5, and two '14's all S models. The base with PDK was so impressive I ordered one for a March delivery. My decision came down to the fact that the .2 base was just as fast as the .1 S and seemed quicker because of the improvement in low end torque. And I liked the new technology. The real delima was whether to order the '17 base or S. I may drive an occasional track event but most of the time it is a car that I enjoy washing, waxing and driving around! I'm a Porsche guy. I ordered a GT Silver coupe with: PDK, PSE, Premium Plus with 14 way, GT steering wheel, Bose, LCA, no sun roof, 20" Spyder wheels, and model designation "911".
