Anyone Opt For Porsche Delivery Experience Atlanta?

My new 911 Cab is due in next week from Germany to Florida but the dealer is suggesting I forego the Porsche Delivery Experience at the Porsche Center in Atlanta as it could take weeks to get a slot for car pick up there.

The new car will sit at the Port for weeks until a date is set with a large enough group all taking delivery and having the same training/collection In Atlanta.

Is the extra wait worth the Porsche Collection Experience?

I've been there and its awesome. Waiting a few MORE weeks for my new Porsche.....I wouldnt/couldnt do that. I'd go through delivery with the guys that will look after me and my car........then I'd fly down and take a course or two in their cars. Just my opinion.

Even if you have the car delivered to the dealer, they should be able to get you a curtosy (e.g. free) slot at the Center.

I couldn't wait.

Just make it your 1st road trip to break it in.

Thanks for the replies. I thought we forfeited the opportunity to attend the Porsche Experience if we collected the car at the dealership.

Part of the attraction is a Porsche specialist is supposed to give a comprehensive demo of all the features of the new vehicle that is being delivered as well as driving instruction in a similar specced car on their race track.

I'll find out from the dealer if we can still attend if taking delivery as normal here locally.

What region of FL did you order yours from? I'm dealing with some in the central Florida region and I'm curious why the dealer would push this option to you. It is my understanding you finalize payment once it hits the port so why would they care either way?

Isn't your dealer a Porsche specialist? Is this a special Delivery and instruction n/c deal, otherwise anyone can attend. Register on-line. Very cool place.

Thanks - I only saw the option when selecting all the options online prior to ordering. Just waiting for the delivery date now.
