no leather smell in 991.2

We just picked up a new 2018 base 991.2 cab yesterday and I was shocked to see that the interior does not have the nice smell that all previous P cars I have ever bought have, even in standard leather guise. Did something change with the manufacturing? It is quite a disappointment.

That seems odd. (Maybe you could buy a couple Hermes bags to carry around-this could add that scent you're missing.) congrats on the new car-enjoy.

2018 991.2?

Thought the 2018s were tied up by the EPA and aren't being delivered?
My 2018 C4S Cab is in port in Rode Island and dealer has no firm date yet.

Congrats!

Still waiting....

Nope, all I've been in smell like leather.. .

Maybe you don't have much leather installed or you have a cold

I've got a '14 Cayenne Diesel with the standard interior. The car has a very nice leather scent which is much stronger than the leather scent in my '17 911. The hides in the Cayenne feel more upmarket. The 911 is fantastic, but would not point to the hide quality on the standard interior as one of it's better features. I just hope it is durable.

My 2012 991 S had std interior- I don't recall the same scent as I still have in my 2015 GTS.
