How many miles do tires last 911
For rear and front tires, I know what they are rated for but seems rears will go fast.
For no track work, just everyday easy driving, any idea how many miles front and rear tires will get on a 911?
Looking to pick up some Michelin Pilot Sport 4S now sure if they wear any better. Do the Pilot Sports make the ride more comfy over Pirelli Pzeros?

There is no definitive answer to your question as there are many variables such as correct alignment (if you have rear concentrics your alignment will not hold and you will wear the inside edge) driving style, proper inflation...also a problem is excessive camber. For those who love generalities, my experience has been two sets of rears for one set of fronts...this is without any track use.

I got 16k miles on the P1s that came on my 2012.5 991 2CS. Most of the wear was in the rear. Mostly highway and city driving. Switched to Mich SuperSports and have 16 k so far and estimate another 3-4 k miles before planned new PS4s. They ride and handle better than the old P1s and wear better too. In my experience, alignment and driving style are the key variables. My pre-991 911s got far less mileage with the rears generally lasting 12-15 k- but I don't push as hard as I used to.
I’m just passing along my experience and information I received from a technician. Your experience might differ. I went through 3 sets in 18 months on my M6. Changing driving style didn’t make much difference.
My experience with 911s has shown rear tires to last approximately 10,000 miles, and front tires to last approximately 20,000 miles. As mentioned above, there are many things that influence tread wear. My last set of rear tires lasted only 7,500 miles.

That’s nothing short of fantastic. I managed 13000 on the rears on my GTS when the tech advised that I should change them. The fronts are still going strong and I’m almost at 18000.
I recently did the swap from Pirelli to Michelin. The Pirelli were an old model but dry rotted after 3K miles... Michelins are the new PS4S.
Ride is night and day better. Also much quieter but again - keep in mind I went from one companies old dry rotted design to another company's latest and greatest. That being said. Both of out Bimmers also swapped from Pirelli to Michelin last year. The ride quality and noise levels were night and day.
Other things to note... There is a bit of wheel protection in the Pirelli's on the front but not on the rear. Just a small lip of rubber that sticks out. The Michelins also have this on the rear. Because of this, I wish I would have gotten 305 instead of 295. They definitely don't look stretched but not as square looking as the pirelli.
You will get lots of conjecture with regard to brand loyalty and OEM equipment. This post is my conjecture

In my experience, you never wear out the tires. You replace them due to punctures.
10K miles, on my third set of rear tires. 2 punctures.
Get tire insurance, you won't regret it.
Also got a giant magnet to sweep the driveway and street in front of house.
Every time someone in the neighborhood uses a contractor for a home maintenance issue, the magnet pulls up some frightening debris
