17 991.2 rear struts failing

17 991.2 rear struts failing

17K were fine last week now stays up for 5 seconds and then wilts,,called dealer, have to take in, dealer is an hour away:{

These are know to fail, but seems yours failed quicker than most.

No failures here..... yet. (4K miles) Any suggestion for improved/AM units when warranty is expired?

if your car is not under warranty, i would just replace them yourself. if you car is under warranty, i would wait until you need something else done. they are only around $100 for the pair and can be swapped out in minutes. i wouldnt drive an hour to get this done.

im retired with more time than sense,,get me off the hill,,,stop at Sams and get gas and goodies and i will hit the dealer up for a car wash

all went well, checked in at 8am, on the road at 930...got free car wash, high end coffee, juices, drinks, snacks available,,i was only one in service area, struts fixed under warranty....it was a positive experience
