PCM 4 issue on 2017 991.2

Figured I'd post to see if anyone else on the forum has experienced these 2 issues on their PCM.

1st Issue: My PCM cannot be used with out SIM card inserted. (This is an issue if i want to connect to a hotspot or wifi for updates etc.) If you remove SIM a few minutes while driving the car will experience a sim card error.

Usually when removing the SIM card and tether to my cell phone Hotspot or to my Home WiFi in the garage the screen says there is a sim inserted, then removed and cycles a few times until this message that a sim is defective, yet the sim has been removed. (Note: Used picture from other post) I can insert a SIM and pay for it with AT&T and all data works fine, though if I remove the SIM the PCM will not work and also should to be able to connect to a wifi connection without a sim inserted but the above error.

I brought the car to my dealer and the tech thought he fixed it but 5 min after i drove off without SIM the error message was back. Figured if someone else experienced it i can help them with a resolution. Note: a post in a Macan Forum attributed it to a WG47 Campaign (Didn't hear from that OP) I also saw one rennlist post with the same issue I have been experiencing without a followup on the dealer resolution and unfortunately haven't heard back from that OP either.

2nd Issue: If a call come in via Bluetooth, I am unable to answer it utilizing the buttons on PCM or through dash. The PCM will just hang on a never ending loop of "incoming call."
I am able to answer the phone call directly on the Phone but the PCM will still show "incoming call" even after disconnecting the call.
The only way to fix this is to hold the power **** for 15sec and reset the system. (Note I am using iPhone 11 Pro). This is only when using PCM software and not Apple CarPlay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
J

Just thought i'd give a quick update. Spoke with a Porsche Connect Representative and they said it is most likely a defective card reader for the SIM Card issue. Not sure of the reason for the telephone issue, but I am going to make an appointment with my dealership and provide that information. Will let you know the outcome.

You can remove a SIM card from a 997.2 PCM?
