991 TT 18 Way Seat-Not Comfortable. Custom? Ideas?
First, I realize I am opening myself up for massive teasing. I'm from NJ, its all good. I had a 997TT with the comfort seats and recentyly upgraded to a 2018 991TTS with 18 way seats. While I love the extra side support (I track my cars from time to time) the seat bottom and lower back are hard. Even my 17 year old complains. So, while this is a subjective issue, I'm looking to figure out some kind of solve here. Has anyone done a custom seat cushion install? Changed the bottom or the back and then reinstalled the seats? I don't want to add some funky cheap seat cushion The interior is too nice. I did a bunch of searches and all I could find was 14 way vs. 18 way seats. As the interior on this car is Porsche custom leather and deviated stitching, switching seats out totally is not an option. TIA and Happy Turkey Day.

Do you have the lumbar all the way to the rear and deflated? That could make the backs seem hard. As far as the seat bottom; I think you could have a customer leather shop re-create the seat bottom with more foam. But that could really be a crap shoot, how much is enough? Do you have seat ventilation, it may not work with additional foam? Last option would be to pick up a set of used seats that you find comfortable and swap them out, but then you face potential problems with seat heat, ventilation and airbag issues.
