991 or 992 Turbo

Hi everyone, with the new 992's about to hit the roads soon I am seeing some nice deals on 991 turbos. There are a few 2019 left over turbos (New) that are now selling for around 160k (about 12-14% off sticker)

Does it make sense to get the 991 or wait another few months for the 992? I assume most of the 992's will have a sticker of 180-185k, but not sure how much dealers are willing to take off the sticker.. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A question can't be answered yet.. imagine it's 1999 and replace the "991" with "993" and "992" with "996" in your question, obvious as it is today, it wasn't back then.

however, bear in mind there is no world different between the 2, although it's "brand new" it's just a slow evolution (slowest we have seen in the past 20 years), in fact, minor enough that chief engineer answered "otherwise, people won't see/feel the difference" to the question why this time they boosted power so significantly in opposed to the regular 30-40 HP boost.

So figure out some numbers, roll the dice on what ever and post some pics of enjoyment

I guess my question is can I expect 10% off the new 992 turbo? Or will there be such a high demand that they will be selling at or above sticker?

The only reason I ask is because a friend of mine got almost 18% off a 992 C4S last year. Not sure if such discounts are given on the higher end models.

If there is a difference of 10k and I can get into a new 992 for around 170k then I will do so. But if the cost of entry is closer to 190k, I would be more inclined to a 991.

usually no discount in the beginning, have to wait and see.
I recommend always waiting for the .2, usually such a big difference which makes the .1 look updated.
what 991 deal did you find? spec? color?

There are a few black coupes with stickers for 180k going for 160k. Decently equipped, nothing major.

First, i am glad to see S are so high still, 2 years ago YouTube fan boys predicated it will sell for 50 % off cause it doesn't have race boy exhaust note.

Second, that's a lot of car for 160K, the bright side is non S are quite rare. i think you will enjoy it and when time comes of 992.2 you can step up to the S
also, if you can find a cabrio that a gem.

Get a 992. 991 is yesterday. You will be driving an old car the day you drive it off the lot. Completely different interior and much better performance.
