Car will not start....no spark????

Car has been in the shop for a month for some minor body repairs(paint chips, front clip paint job etc)...drove to beach (Oregon coast)...stopped on the way back and very difficult to start...finally got it going and now it will not start at all...replaced the fuel pump relay to no avail...any ideas????....Steve C ..97 993TT

I wish I knew enough to help, but I don't. It might be time to head over to www.rennlist.org or the Pelican Parts forums to seek the truth. Good luck. Might the cam timing be off? (WAG)

97 993 TT no spark

Actually I'm having a similar problem ,since my car has been back from the shop it's been unfortuneatly in a damp garage and to compound the situation the immobilizer light has begun to blink intermittently.
I thought it was related to an undercharged battery but that doesn't appear to be the case.
I will shortly remove the alarm brain and try and determine if that has
moisture or some problem preventing it from cycling out correctly.
I have changed the immobilizer battery already ,maybe you could try that.
This is the first time something like this has occured but it is 15 years old at this point..thanks Bert

Turned out to be the battery after all..fresh sealed oversize unit did the trick !
started right away like nothing happened..alot to be said for an undercharged or flat battery, caused all kinds of electronic havoc, doors not opening, alarm failing to
cancel etc..
And to be candid factory trickle charger may have helped burn battery cells...Bert
