Salvage Title 993 TT
What kind of experience? I agree that Salvage title vehicles are a nightmare, but they could also be turned into some good cars in the right hands. Depends where it was hit also.
Buying a salvage car does not have to be a nightmare. There is the risk that you might buy a car in which you have to spend too much, but if you inspect the vehicle before buying it, get estimates of how much the repair will cost and contact your local DMV to make sure you will have no problems when getting a rebuilt or reconstructed title, then you should be fine.
I have purchased many salvage vehicles and still own one which is in great condition, I don't care about the resell value because I don't plan to sell it. As I said before, there are risks, but if you do your homework, it should be a good purchase.

A salvage car can be good or bad. The problem is you won't know until after the dust settles. Things that you did not notice at first start to compile fast. I would prefer to buy a salvaged car unfinished as opposed to prettied up. That way you know what your starting with. Things like salt water damage will haunt the car for the rest of it's life. Roll overs creak and moan not long after the repairs. Frame damage can be made to look nice but it's never quite right (unless done properly).
For a disposable daily driver I would do it. For a nice classic car that I would cherish no way!
