If you are worried about MPG, this may not be the car for you.

It will go down with the short gears, but it really depends on how YOU drive it.

From p-car.com this can give you some idea. http://p-car.com/temp/993service.htm

Of course as 993's are getting older, you need to budget for non routine repairs.

Got a quick question. I have seen few 993s that already have rebuilt top end.
Is it cost too much to repair? or is there anyway I can do DIY?
I actually put a deposit on M3 for a daily but I decided to get 993 instead.
Since I already had 2 M3s in last 2 years I want something different this time.
I will probably drive twice a week as weather permits.
And any recommendations for local shops in NY/NJ area?

A friend of mine is also looking to get into a 993 but hes looking for a Targa, is there anything he should be aware of?

And are Targas going for more than a 993C2 or C4?

Is the resale good on Targas or with the 993 it doesnt matter cause its a 993 either way?
