993 value with rebuilt title
New on forum, long time 911 owner. Looking for 993 for a while, waiting on price and right car to come along. Found 97 coupe with 69k miles, 1 year since top end overhaul, resealed engine. Shows typical stone chips, bolster wear, etc, but has rebuilt title due to rear end damage in the past. How much of a hit should the value take due to this? I know this usually hits resale value and may be difficult to sell, any advice from other 993s?

Although I would rather have an accident salvage title than a flood. Body panels are easy to replace and paint. Corroding electronics are not.
If the car is to be a driver, is priced in the sub $20k range and has been driven many miles since the salvage, go for it.

I would find another. Resealed the case? Why was the case open? That is not normal.
Since banks will not touch a salvage, as will most insurance companies, they should be 30-50% of what a normal one is going for. Of course, you will need a really, really good PPI, like a mechanical one, then a body one.
