How many 993's Owners in the USA ?

I'm curious about the 993 and just checked the number on the market below 40k miles & $100k : 39 in the USA. At the top are four turbos @ +$72k. Fifteen years @ less then 2,500 per year; are these garage Puffs ? There are 700 997's on the market.

I wonder how many 993's were imported ? The 993 was 10" shorter, 5" narrower (not the awd) and weighted about 200 lbs. less. I've noted several 997 owners have move back to the 993. Is it a crazy investigation to get behind the wheel just for comparison ?

I think most of us just hang on to our cars. I don't know the total figures, but my guess is that there are WAY more 997's sold in the US then ALL the 993's made in the world.

It's a car you either "get" or you don't. Your 997 is faster, & handles "better", & is newer. Go & drive a couple & decide for your self.

I love my C4S so much, I got a C4 drive daily.

Resident Sicko is infamous around these parts
I am one of many...but not as many as 996 and 997 owners.

Bought my 98 last fall with 38k on the clock. Apparently, there is somewhere around 1500 993s sold in 97-98. But production numbers vary depending on source and vary even more by how many are left intact.

Many of us bought or are keeping the 993 for investment as it was the last of the air cooled, hand built 911s. Yes, I will sell some day and replace it with a 997 GT3, but not until my kids are grown. and the depreceation has taken hold.
