Have any of you experienced any grinding while downshifting to 1st gear? My car has 39,000 miles on it and I have noticed this for like 9,000 miles/3 years. I was told to change the transmission fluid, I did but it did not fix the problem. If its the syncro's, can I just have the 1st gear syncro rebuilt or will I need to rebuild the whole transmission? Has anybody had to do either of these? How did it go? How much was it?
