I'm considering this car: '95 C2 black on red

I have a friend that is the second owner of a 1995 993 C2 six speed with 97,000 miles and he has offered the car to me for $40,000.

Car is black with red (chestnut) interior. It's not a full leather car, seats only. Red headliner, red steering wheel and dash. The interior is really as new.

The car was recently painted because of rock chips and rub through. Cost $10,000..windows out etc.....
New windshield, new clutch, new suspension bushings, new Konis with Porsche Euro soft springs, all new body seals and headlights and all three tail lights.

It's a very early build -- Jan 1994..

I dig the car and I figure its probably worth the price he's asking, but I don't know if I could live with the red interior. So I'm thinking about an interior re-dye in black.

Any thoughts on the price, or the car would be appreciated.
Thanks.

if you wanted to get a black interior im sure you could find another 993 owner with a black interior that would want red and you could swap . imo the red interior is more valuable than black since its rarely seen. you could probably even ask for a trade + cash.

I would also try and trade with someone with a black interior. I don't think you will get anyone to trade plus cash because cars with black interiors are easier to sell but I am sure you would find someone to do a even trade.
