I put together a video of this year's Driven to America event, DTA-2, which was held on the grounds of an historic mansion on the North Shore of Long Island. The event celebrates the history of the air-cooled Porsche and Max Hoffman, the man who was responsible for bringing Porsche and other European makes to the U.S. Hoffman also influenced the designs of such important classics as the MB 300SL Gullwing. Turnout was incredible, probably twice the size of last year's event, with Porsches from all eras represented on display and in the parking areas. Hopefully they'll hold it again next October. It's a must-see if you're in the Metro NY area.
