Many car buffs drive out to a VERY COOL Place in Long Island, NY called Captree State Park. There is almost ONE of every CAR you can imagine SUNDAY mornings 7AM to 12 noon. ITS A MUST FOR ANY CAR BUFF.

Its an amazing 15 mile straight run!!-- to the end.

I want to organize a group to meet and greet, make the 997 trip out there and have a little piece of Porsche HEAVEN for us to enjoy.

When do they stop collecting the parking fee? While it is in effect, people meet at the Oak Beach lot a couple miles down Ocean Pkwy.

 

I am interested in the meet Sun 12/17. Let me know where the Porsche group will meet and what time. I will bring my '07 C2S Cab that I just picked up from Brandywine.

Typically a bunch of american metal with lots of Vettes. I find it amusing to stand with the vette crowd around the coffee shop as they pass judgement on cars as they roll in. May be a little chilly then, never saw a lot of P car presence

Let me know about the details and if there will be a good number of Porsches present that day. My friend just got an aero C2S who will show up also if enough P guys will come. Dont like the American car crowd that much.

 

Right now we are a total of 4 and there is usually 4 to 8 p's there!!
We need to start somewhere!! Lets grow this thing. ITS going to be fun.

I might be down for this! I was there once and it was pretty cool. All types of cars. What time are you planning to be there? If Ican make it I'll be bringing my GT2 and possibly a couple of buddies with Turbos and a 997S.

 

I am game for a little p-car presence (06 997s). I should be able to round up 2 or 3 more friends, one turbo and a 996 c4s. Is it at captree or obi??

By the start of the Spring WE WILL !!! out number the American JUNK, PROMISE.. however the people are very nice and LOVE our cars too (honestly).

I have been going there for 3 years with my GT 700.I was one of the few porsches there for a long time.It will be nice to see more of you Porsche guys there in the future.I will have to check in on you guys.I'll be there with my 06 ZO6.(my turbo is still at Evoms) Just be careful on that 15 mile stretch because the police are just itching to put you guys on a flatbed!!The Robert Moses Causeway bridge is another story,just be doing 60 mph at the end of the bridge!

 

I hear you!! I have the NEW k-40 Bluetooth Calibre WORKS GREAT!! I was almost stuck today, but it saved my ***! Doing 110 mph on the LIE 495 heading east mid-day by glen cove road. I hope you can make it NEXT sunday JOETWINT,
