993 cab s- widebody cab!

posted this on rennlist, thought you 6speeders would like to see my car.

just got my '96 993 cab back from the shop with no bumperettes front and back, painted rear grill, hk ducts, turbo bumpers, hollow spokes (i wish they weren't chrome), non-suv ride height, basket handle gone... the whole car was sprayed and the finish is better than factory. the only orange peel on the car is on the bumpers, the rest is totally flat. i will post better photos when i get a chance. some other minor (lol) modifications were done as well.

hope the car is to your liking.

Very nice. Now you need to get some new mufflers and remove the cats for a perfect sound.

Yep, I actually keept the stock mufflers, removed the cats and had 2 separate cat bypasses that did not cross over each other.(Like the x pipe available from several exhaust manufacturers). I had the Motorsport airbox with a B&M filter and the larger exhaust tips. The car sounded perfect. I wish I could get a similar sound out of my GT3.

You are probably right about that. Maybe do some RSR mufflers like many people have on the 993 board at rennlist. You can find them here: www.p-car.com

Great looking cab.

Is it a factory S cab? I didn't think that was ever offered.

Cheers,
Stan

the car is not a factory s cab. they never REALLY offered it in that variety, not in full production at least. my car was converted to a s cab with all OEM parts and is a '96 all the way thru. if they did make these cars, i would've gone and gotten one, but since they don't i made one.

glad you dig it.

You got me thinking because I can't remember any 993 wide body cabs ever made.

Love how it turned out. Looks gorgeous!

Beverly Hills Porsche received a handfull (I believe three in different colors) 993S cabs towards the end of the model run.

Very unique car you have there! I used to have a '97 C2S and I still regret selling it.
