Is this a good deal??
I would love to get some of your guy's opinion. its a 95 993 cab. 98K miles, silver on gray. Clean title. Recent history & maintenance.
-Convertible Top Motor (recall)
-Pressure Plate, Flywheel with Pilot Bearing and Pressure Plate Bolts ($2981.25)
-Major Tune-Up includes replace and gap plugs, points, set timing, check advance, fuel filter, air filter, cap, rotor, wires, pcv, fuel mixture, replace valve cover gaskets, compression test 220lbs on all cylinders, E-brake, belts, hutch struts, repair center vents, recharge ac ($1950.81)
-alternator, fan assembly, brake master cylinder ($2815.00)
All this recent work within 3K miles. Seller is asking $24K firm.
Should I pull the trigger, I LOVE this car. But I don't want my emotions to get me into trouble. Is 95 a good year for 993? Or should I pick up something later, like 96 or 97. I just want to see how reliable it would be. Anything else I should check for?
Any feedback would be much appreciated. Can't want to be a new owner.

That seems like a great deal. Get a PPI. Don't be afraid of the miles either, as long as the car was taken care of you are good. 95's have less hp than the later ones but do not get the cel issue when the sai's get clogged. I would buy it if the ppi is good and had the extra money.
Buy It Now
WOW - great find. I paid almost twice that for my 95 cab and have no regrets. My car has much lower miles, but I love the 95. Buy the 95 before someone else does - you'll regret it if you lose it. This car in the 20's is a steal. What a great car. I specifically looked for a 95 - OBD I and just my preference. My search lasted almost 3 years and ended earlier this year. You will not find many in that price range. Let us know what you do!!! Go get it today!

Make sure you have a PPI performed with a Leak Down and Compression Test from a shop or dealer you know and trust. But go get this now. Other 993's in the 20k range have likely lived a rough life.
When was the maintaince done, that's a 30k service, so it should be done every 30k.
On the 993 you can't gap the plugs, or set the mixture.
His shop is great, that's a awesome price for that work, but where is the oil, & trans fluid change?
Over all sounds like a good car, & a good price, if you are happy with it, get it. Of course have a independent shop do a PPI.
