I don't think that is factory. maybe that's why it's rare.

 

The first slant noses ever made had that front end from Porsche.

that is one reason they were illegal in CA. cars of that era would have had pop up lights. Also the glass is illegal etc. The car would have had to been fitted to american safety standards.

 

I can't believe Porsche would release an ugly duckling like that into the wild.

The front bumper slit reminds me of a 951...I actually like it, very purposeful IMO.

I am amazed! My dad has a silver colored Porsche that looks just like the on in the OP. It's a 1982 Turbo. No pop-up lights. Lights are mounted below on the bumper just like the OP. He's owned it for years but we know very little about it. Any info about these (I believe rare) cars is greatly appreciated!
