996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

How could these interiors be from the same design firm?

MKW is infamous around these parts
Don't forget, these pics probably include some multi-thousand dollar extended leather interior options ( see the stitching on the upper dash and down the sides of the center console ) . Wait until you see these interiors in base plastic . I've got a 25 y/o take-off VW Scirocco shift **** in a closet somewhere that looks just like the new shifter.

I'm with Amir; the door panels look poor but over all the interior in these pics look like a better quality than the 996. For some reason the original tan interior pics didn't do the 997 any justice - tan in a "911" is bad taste.

I actually consider the base 996s as being ugly (except GT3/2/TT/C4S?). I wouldn't describe the 997 as ugly .
Imo my opinion, they are going more towrds luyury and away from sport. The 996 has some really cheap pieces and to simply luxury them up and make the inside look like a Cayenne is a joke. Why can't they keep it sporty lighten it up(instead of adding 25kg for the C2 and 50kg for the C2s) and make it sporty looking again. I have a Porsche to experience a raw sports car, not to be softened in each new iteration. If I want luxury and sport, I buy a BMW, if I want sport, I buy Porsche, or used to at least........
