Cars with IBE switch

Are you able to switch programs on the move? Just curious as to whether or not I could create a program for endurance racing that would allow me to put the turbos to "sleep" without stopping.

but its most likely possible to work out. if you had an emulator and laptop w/ a fast enough processor you could certainly swap programs fast enough to do it on the fly. I do it in hondas all the time when we write custom maps. I've just never had need to do it on a VAG or P-Car product...

Actually... you don't have to be stopped... just the *engine* has to be stopped.

You can switch it on the fly... you just have to be quick on the ignition switch (and no... the steering wheel doesn't lock until you actually extract the key)

How badly do you want to switch programs?
<grin>

The key has to be powered down in order to switch. People will admit that they have seen my car shut off going down the highway.
