is 996turbo a faster track toy than Cayman S?
Both stock cars and same driver: The 996 Turbo is faster, Cayman S is in a way more joy to drive though because less weight and middle-engine. The 996TT can be made bloody fast
These times are from the same driver:
Hockenheim (modern GP-circuit with difficult sections):
stock 996TT 1.14.6 min
stock Cayman S 1.15.9 min
So there's a 1.3 seconds difference....
On a longer and faster track like the Nordschleife (okay...only one track in the world which is like this but I do my most track work there
) the more powerful Turbo is 25-30 seconds faster, of course

It depends on the track. On AZ's tracks, PIR & Firebird I could easily take a stock 996TT with a Cayman S. On tracks like Sebring, Road America, Brainerd, Miami Homestead & Daytona, I would rather have a 996TT.
The cayman would need an engine swap and a S/C probably to get out of the realm where the TT could still beat it.
It would be interesting to see:
Cayman
Motor swap
S/C
Suspension
vs
TT
K24 package
-500 lbs
suspension
That would be a good one.
