The BK brackets made a lot of difference in seat angulation and I find the position much more comfortable. Worked well with the HANS device also.

I'd say how you feel about these seats depends a lot on your size.

I was thinking of these seats up until last night when I sat in one at Alex's shop. The top 1/3 of me just doesn't fit these seats. I'm certainly no bodybulder, but I'd say I'm a little larger than average in the shoulders, and I felt pinched in it.

Other than that, the padding seemed adequate.

Definitely test-sit before buying.

I think it takes more than a quick test sit to really know if you will like them. I test sat in one last year and determined that I would only use them for track events - they semed too tight. After installing them and driving with them for a few miles, they began to feel real good. I ended up keeping them full time and love the seating position and fit. I have since sold my sport seats, as I prefer the Gt3 seat much more. My car is a daily driver with bank, post office, lunch, office store, etc. as the daily routine and they are totally enjoyable - in fact I like driving the car more with them. My wife prefers them, too. - she says they make her back feel well supported and they feel better than the OEM seats. We have done some pretty long trips/drives with them - no complaints.

Let me know if you would like to try mine out... I think they are SO COMFY, I always sit in an "upright" position in any seat anyway, and its a natural position in the GT3 seats not uncomfortable one bit!

mine arent GT3s, but they are racing buckets from Status Racing. I dont mind them at all. Taken them to Santa Barbara and back with no problems. That trip had bumper to bumper traffic. Didnt even have to adjust my position.

I replaced my stock seats with factory GT3 seats and they are easily one of the the best upgrades I have made to the car. Very comfy for my back, and if you are putting in a roll bar you need high back seats like there to protect your head from the roll bar in a crash

I would look into a set of Recarro RS Sportsters. I had the GT3 buckets and they were great for support but the lack of recline and overall tightness lead me to a set of Recarros. They have great support (almost as good as the GT3s) and recline. MUCH better for a DD IMO. I just posted pics of them in another thread.

Hi,

do the GT3 seats cut off all access to the rear, even if only using for storage?

thanks

if they are fully forward you can slide a medium sized duffel bag, some medium sized shopping bags... a car helmet... etc..

its a hassel, but hey..the car to begin with is small, and this is only restricting access slightly.

with regards to my feedback (since i started the thread a few months back) ever since i purchased the seats, and in terms of driving the car the right way, they are great. Not only do they feel great, supporting, night n day difference to stock, they also obviously weigh half the weight and make the car look amazing.. i get many compliments about them.

only complaints would be long term driving they can get a little annoying since you really cant adjust much. also getting in and out of them is a hassel. just like anything its a tradeoff. I would highly recommend them if anyone is performance oriented.

I am thinking about getting these seats but I'm 6'3" and am afraid my helmet will no longer clear...(I recline my recaros when I use them). Has anyone out there run these at my height with a helmet? If there isn't room, is there anything else I can do if I want to run them? Thinner pads? Different, lower seat mounts? Any other solutions to consider?

Thanks!

What are the differences between the GT3s and Pole Positions? I've sat in neither nor seen either in person, but the PPs look less restrictive in the upper 1/4 (physically and visually) from pics. They look the same from 3/4 down. The top section of the GT3s look quite odd to me - just my opinion. Is there a price difference? Do the PPs use factory mounts like I assume the GT3s do? I'd like a plug and play option. Are the seat cushions removeable/replaceable in each?

Thanks,
JH

I'm 6' 2" and I found them to be really comfortable. I never wanted to go back, and even sold my other seats. However, ingress and egress are a little more difficult, so if you are in and out of your car a lot, you may want to stay with sport seats. Lastly, they are hotter, so in humid, hot Florida summers can affect comfort.

I had both seats, the Pole's in my ex M3, and GT3 seats in my GT2. The pole positions are the same seat/construction from half way down you are right, but one thing I did notice was that the Pole's are wider then the GT3 seats. UNLESS it's the US GT3 seats which can be ordered in a larger size, not every GT3 seat is the same, some I were in were small and tight as hell, other wider!
