RS6 vs 996TT - observations
Dabum, Mucho Gracias.
I have been using that daily down in FL. Never thought I'd use that so much. UP here in Chicago, there are quite a few. Down there, that car gets more looks than the Renntech. Weird. THe sun brings out that avus silver/blue really well. I am very happy with that car.

NWTurbo, you may want to look at chipping your RS6. If you go with a GIAC chip through AWE Tuning, it'll give your RS6 *significant* gains: 520hp and 532torque. It's night and day.
My Stage 2+ S4 on race fuel edges out a stock RS6. But running against a chipped RS6, it's not even close, they just pull away.

(1) The difference between the "fastest man in the world" and the rest of the field is < 0.01 sec.
(2) Corvette and Honda may not be that much different, but are you telling me that C-GT and Corvette are not that diff't? Or that a Mc F1 and an NSX aren't that diff't?
(3) Have we been so spoiled by college football that to be "better" than another team you have to win by (Miami Hurricane) 50 point margin?
(4) I would even argue that if cars perform similar on a two lane highway, the drivers aren't likely equal level, are limited by fears of not being on a closed track and if they get on a closed track, you tell me how anything is going to keep up with a 996 endurance-wise for more than 30 minutes?
wow, bad day and no diet pepsi, sorry. [/B]

But it's all relative; relative to how much you want to spend. I mean, I could spend $30,000 on an EVO8 and another $15,000 with Shiv @ Vishnu Tuning and have a low 11 second street car that will run with a CGT and Enzo. But it's not going to be a CGT or Enzo.
Different strokes for different folks.

Interesting observation about the non-stealth.
But I agree. I drove an RS6 Plus a few days ago and a couple of old folks came up to me and asked "how many hp?" and then I asked if they wanted me to rev the engine which I gladly did

It's as almost fast as the 997 Carrera S, only 0.5-0.7 secs behind up to 200 km/h - and we're comparing auto vs. manual...

The RS6 is a lot of fun in the straights especially with the tip.
Too easy to get tickets. The exhaust reminds me of an old 455 Trans Am.
In the twisties the RS6 becomes an elephant. The tip in manual mode is a dog. The RS6 is really a hotrod, not a sportscar with the agility and responsiveness of a Porsche.
The RS6 is more amusing than impressing to me.

All my friends 996s are tuned, but we have been Porsche-hunting successfully on the Nürburgring.
Carrera RS and 996 C4 etc., drivers being about equal, were a match but lost
