MidnighTT is infamous around these parts
Here's a nice pic showing the layout. Note that the first prototype shown here (Kevin's) uses a different cat than the one I'm selling (prototype #2), although they are both 100 cell, 5" diameter cats. Mine do not have the spot welds on the cat shell, and my lower mufflers were shortened 2" to better center the outlets. I'm sure Kevin will tweak this design until it's perfect before releasing it for sale.

I believe there is a plan to CNC some tips for this exhaust at some point in the future. I think quad 3" tips have been discussed.

Nice system-

Sure looks a lot like our WC-GT system which was developed and on the market for some time now..... (2 years on our GT2) We use 1 set of mufflers they use 2.

Shown here on our 997TT -

Fabryce, is there any advantage to having a one muffler design? Weight, sound, drone, etc...? Thanks!

Sounds fantastic indeed,

Sure looks like a copy of GMG exhuast, very similar design indeed.

How much does it weigh or did I miss that?

There aren't many options for packaging a 996/7tt exhaust, so the available systems are all variations on a few common themes; stockish, 2 isolate cans, 1 wide can, or this one (or straight pipes for the truly insane!). GMG's wcgt was close to what I wanted, but their crossover is closer to a pure "X", whereas I wanted two siamesed "U"s (I call them "kissing U's" ). The UMW race exhaust provides this subtle difference, as well as using 130mm (5.1") diameter 100 cell cats and providing the option to quickly change between a 4 muffler config and a 2 muffler config.

So they are very similar, but certainly not identical. Evolution marches on!

The 3" tailpipes are much larger than the inlet to the stock tips. It would take a bunch of work to bore them out to 3". I'm sure Kevin will offer something that looks nice 'n' shiny. CNC machined pieces were talked about, as was welding 2 different diameter pipes together in Porsche's intersecting circles pattern.

I prefer the "means business" look of the 3" stainless pipes. Stainless will polish up almost like chrome with some Simichrome and a little elbow grease.

Merry Christmas!

Ya i was curious about that... The dry revs (Kevin's car) seem to sound much different (more mechanical) than the fly-bys i shot (MidnightTT's car). Any ideas Kev? Jeff? Kevin, are the fly-bys we shot what you were thinking it would sound like?
