Andreas Abram's needs to be credited with the wheel color idea as well!! He had this on his 01 TT !

Okay, what do we have here, a few cosmetic changes for the interior, basically the X50 package and PCCB ...

That's the Turbo S ??

Am I missing something??
Don't forget:

The extended standard features include cruise control, a six CD changer system and the green tinted band at the top of the windscreen.

Nope. He had titanium, even cooler than GT silver, but it wouldn´t really surprise me if Porsche DID use his idea.

Yes Mansour - it was standard

I just spoke to a good dealer freind of mine who is a porsche nut -
He is furious about the Turbo "s" - Said to me that TT values were really starting to get stronger and now Porsche throws this wrench in

Seems that a Turbo S with x50 and ceramics is less expenxieve than an 04 x50 TT with cermaic option and a few equipement options - It is very obvious that porsche doesn't care at all about the pre-owned Market - but we all still put up with it ! Well look at the bright side at least out cars did not plumit like the Maserati GTand Spyder's - wow those things got killed!

Wonder who thought up the "green tinted band" across the windscreen. WOW

I never believed Porsche--or any other car company--cared about the pre-owned market. Whenever I hear people say that Porsche only increased the power on a new model by "X" because they didn't want to hurt the pre-owned market, I roll my eyes...

They made too many 996 and the solution isn't to make many more.. Of course their proffit margings must still be insanely high on every 996 built which is why they probably don't care about them being discounted before they even have any miles on their odo.

Guess they are giving away X50s now...The pricing is a bit better as currently the X50 and PCCB options would cost 26K alone!! add thgat to a coupe base of 116 (in 03) and you are at 142K...without PCM etc...

My idea of what a Turbo S should be:

450hp
AWD
200lbs lighter (where this comes from, I don't care)
Pilot Sport Cups standard
Different front and rear spoiler
Back seat delete

Just my opinion...

On the 993, the TT S had a special bodykit to differentate it...on the 996 they dont!!...Porsche is starting to SUCK....This is something I thought only MB and Ferrari would do like with their M models that **** off all owners that just got a non M (e.g. 550 and 575)
