Did the sound improve over the stock headunit? Stupid question I know just wondering if it changed a lot or not? And what do you mean wiring harnass from VW might work?

Its a bit louder and clearer. I have the Bose sub and it does make it a bit too boomy.

Yes I used the VW harness for it. Check with your shop that you pick it up from.

Excuse the mess it was late and I haven't had the time to clean the interior up yet.

Looks good in my opinion.

I just ordered the AVIC-D3 system. As soon as I get it installed I will post some pictures. The installers have all told me that they have a work-around for the Bose issue.

I also bought the bluetooth, and iPod adapter backup camera.

I bought the unit on eBay for $650 delivered.

Just to clarify, that was $650 for the AVIC-D3 aloone. $20 for the iPod cable and $144 for the bluetooth adapter. But I still think the AVIC-D3 is a good deal for the $650. I think they still have a few left.
