Billy, I have to be honest, I'm not a fan of these, especially on a 996.

There are much better options out there, I think the chrome lip thing on our cars is even starting to get a bit boaring, funny, there was a point that a few here were having a battle to see who could get the biggest lips, lmfao.

I have recently gone with the Volks TE37 in Satan Black, same as what Dan at Vivid has (Thanks Dan), they look superb and are strong/lightweight also. I was gutted my OZ Superleggeras got stolen.

The Dymags looks sick, and they are something totally different, i'm just not convinced that this carbon thing works on wheels (might just be me!)

I bet these are cast and not forged - I couldn't find manufacturing information on these wheels - but I didn't look too hard either.

I wouldn't put my TT on cast and/or cheap wheels.

Also, if you want to swap wheels every couple of years, your best bet is to buy HRE, VOLK, iForged ect.. these are wheels you will be able to sell in 2/3 years and depending on how you keep them, you shoud get pretty decent money back when its time to change. You are right with the $8k for the Gemballa wheels you definitely paid for the name but I am sure they are amazing wheels as well.

Personally, I love the looks of 997 wheels on the 996tt - to each his own, right? Depending on whether you are tracking the car, the performance of the cast vs. forged may not be an issue.

Dunno if I am a fan of the 997 wheels on a 996. As for the knock off's well here is the deal. I figure if you are going to sell REAL Gemballa wheels to get something cheaper cuz of the name, why not go the extra mile and forget the name brand Porsche wheel? What I mean is, why go to 2 different ends of the spectrum. Albeit 8 grand is much, but do you not think 1200 bux is not enough?

Just odd if you ask me. Either way, buy a set of used Techies or HRE's, these will go a lot further plus you will get what you paid for when you are looking for a new style.
