2003 996 TT X50/2005 Turbo S Cab

I just put a deposit on a 2005 Turbo S Cab. GT Silver Metallic with Black interior. I have to sell my 2003 Blk/Blk X50 with 7500 miles quickly. I just listed it on ebay. My wife wanted a Cab and I found a immaculate car and pulled the trigger.

I had a C4 cab and always wanted a turbo - but it had to be a cab. When I felt that the prices were "reasonable" (Defined: my other half approved) I pulled the trigger. You will not be sorry....

the cab is awesome, retains the shape very well too - robertp - how is it at high speeds, 100+ any top vibrations or excessive noise or any shake - anything at all that assures you, you are in a cab?

The cab is a little more noisy when traveling above 90MPH. There is some interior wind noise at that speeds above 90MPH. The cab also alows you to hear the ending note a little more. It handles very well and is really fast considering it is carrying a few extra pounds.

I also ordered the Europipe Stage 2 Quite. This and a flash should get the HP to 520.

Thanks Robert, im actually considering moving from my X50 to a standard non-s cab soon and was curious to know how its like

I traded in my SL55 for my X50 and i know come summertime im going to miss the top - yet i wonder if i trade my X50 and considering the added weight of the cab im gonna miss the power

the only mods i would do are flash + exhaust so with a K16 cab that should put me just about, if not a bit beyond my stock X50

btw (edit): your cab is amazing looking, love the PCCB yellow brakes with the speed yellow color, flawless!

If you like cabs, make sure you get one because they are great with the top down. My cab is very fast and I have dome a few things to eliminate the added weight. What an ECU and exhaust upgrade, you should be fine!

I have yet to see another Yellow Turbo S since they only made 16 for US import.
