He's telling the truth according to his use and definition of "MSRP", which stand for "My Special Resale Price".....not "Manufacturers Suggest Retail Price"....which means the dealership will charge you whatever they want.

As such, "GT2" has taken on a whole new meaning.....

no porsche does not allow prices above MSRP on new, unregistered vehicles. that's what i have been told by every porsche dealer i have dealt with, from what i understand porsche of newport beach follows this very strictly. in 2004 when i was looking for a 996 GT3 they happened to have a new one of the floor that was given up by it's buyer. and a used one with 5000 miles on it. the used one was listed for $12500 more than the new one. the new one sold that day. the dealership told me the way a lot of dealers get around this, and it was very popular when the 997TT came out... was for the dealers to purchase the cars themselves, and sell them used CPO'd with only a few miles on them.

yup. I know some Ferrari dealers do this and have a group of friends/family who get the hot cars for a few days or a week before you can buy them.

Saludos,
I must agree with you, the '08 GT2 is a sweet car to get, but I am really happy how my car is running now with the last up-grades... I wouldn't change it here.

However, if I retun to the US and I sell my car here I will get a 997 GT2 there for sure.

Saludos Luis.
