boost lag
boost lag
Just upgraded to K24's with evo waste gates. As expected, a little more lag than my K16's but much more top end
. When I stomp on it, I see 0.2 bar going to 1.1 bar. I have yet to re- flash my ecu for the K24s'.
I used a pressure guage to set the wastegates to start opening at 12 psi.
My question is: At what rpm should I be seeing a particular boost number? Seems like I am only building boost above 3k rpm. I thought with the upgraded wastegates I would see a little more boost earlier.
Thanks

You have to flash it.

I did start a thread while ago about:
From OEM IC -> EVO IC's with K24 more Turbo lag?
with the OEM (no-X50) ICs, K24's, GIAC Stage 4, EVO WG, up-graded Headers, CarGraphic, Gemballa deck lip (feeds more air).
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=84710
and I must say in 2 different test, same place, 4th gear run 35 mph to 135.
- Under 2,000 RPMS no boost with OEM, 0.1 -0.2 bar with EVO.
- 2,500 0.3 bar OEM, 0.4 bar with EVO.
- 2,800 0.5 bar OEM, 0.6 bar with EVO.
- 3,200 0.9 bar OEM, 0.9 bar with EVO.
- 3,600 1.2 bar OEM, 1.3 bar with EVO.
- 4,200 1.3 bar OEM, 1.3 bar with EVO.
- 4,600 1,2 bar OEM, 1.3 bar with EVO.
- 4,750 1,2 bar to RED line both.
Test was at OEM IC's 56°F and EVO IC's 70°F
Here is a video with OEM IC's:

I hope it helps....

get the correct flash right away. you are in danger of overboosting the k24s with the k16 flash! definitelly no stomping till you get the correct flash...
