Sounds like you are a little too hard on the gas esp with all that power. When I slip the clutch I have the gas in half way, with you it may need to be 3/4 all the way through first and part of second..

Yeah Al's exhaust is no joke. It's VERY loud and the most aggressive 996TT exhaust I've heard. But you cant even hear it on the inside. No drone at all, I'd like to get one, but I'm going with straight pipes for rear weight savings.

Joe,

I did try one run slipping the clutch a lot and not foot to the floor. I even short shifted it and rolled it on in 2nd and it just went into the wheel spin/hop mode and instantly to the limiter. I really think the track was for crap. Maybe laced with it.

I believe I have the solution. Just come on down to Atlanta next Spring and bring your DR's. I have plenty of room for you to stay with us. We'll take out the driveshaft or whatever you deem necessary and put you in the driver's seat. I don't want to spend the engine and clutch to try to learn to do something that doesn't particularly interest me. We should pick a weekend when there is a big event nearby so the track will be well prepped.

I did a lot of drag racing decades ago, and quite honestly, this car, at its best, would be boringly slow.

Al,

To show your power, You should try the Texas Mile. You may be
a contender for the 200mph club with those mods. The car sounds nice.
I didnt think anybody sucked more than me at the drag strip but...

A much better way to measure the effectiveness of your mods would
be a 0-300 kph run or a 0-1 mile run (sanctioned).

Good luck,

Marty K.

Holy crap Al, that thing looks wicked fast! Spinning all four down the track and still getting 127 mph trap! YEEHAW!

Congrats, at a real track you are running 10's easy!
