Question best exhaust system

Some of you may recognize me as the "super newbie" but I'm really trying to learn and catch up to you guys . Anyways, from what everyone tells me, the first thing to modding my stock 02 996tt is flash and exhaust... I was told to try UMW for the flash. What about exhaust? What company should I go with for a nice exhaust system that will give good hp and will also sound good? Thank you all in advance for your input/opinions/suggestions.

God Bless.

This is a very subjective thing, best for what? Best for power is one exhaust , best for build quality is another, most expensive is another. Depends on what you want it for.

I want the exhaust to be an overall good exhaust... combo of power, sound, and quality.

Boy, that is a loaded question. For every reply you get here will probably hold a different answer.

For me, it has to perform and give real numbers, sound good and be reasonable on price. This leaves the Fabspeed as the only choice. This should not be confused with the old system as the new Gen 3 is not like the old system. I love mine and have sold a lot of these systems and most do like them. There are different systems that do better in one area more than another, but as a whole these systems are very hard to beat dollar per HP, quality and price.

If you would like to know more (shamless plug) drop me a call or PM.

Pick the one that you rarely see for sale used in the classifieds section. Hint hint Europipe2 loud.

EP2 Quiets or louds...ask any EP owner if they are satisfied. Oh yeay, since you are a noob...try the search button...there is plenty of information there about your questions.

I'm installing a Fabspeed Gen3 from Imagine Auto/PorschePhd this weekend on my 996TT. I asked everyone about the different exhaust systems out there. Milltek, Fabspeed Gen 1,2,3, Tubi. I wanted quality, great sound, no drone and no resonance. I'll let you know Monday.

id have to agree completely, Fabspeed exhaust is no doubt the best product for the price. its the most popular exhaust sold in the states. i mean lets be realistic about this its an exhaust canister, its not freakin rocket science. its like paying $1500 for a bypass pipe, which any muffler shop can mandrel bend a piece of stainless steel for $200 bucks, but what ever i dont really get it. it's not a part that requires advanced technology or quality, just some testing trial and error.

Before you start modding your car, I'd talk to a shop about your overall goals. I believe Elk Grove is near Sacramento. You would be well advised to speak with a shop in your area. I think Sharkwerks is around there.
