Brutish, i would not get on it until you get a proper file. And I would also figure out what you've got 100% before buying someone's program. It may sound extreme, but you won't be happy with a blown motor in your brand new car.

Brutish is infamous around these parts
Thanks so much for the advice - I think it is very sound. I now have a pretty good idea of what I have:

1) Gemballa exhaust
2) K24/26 with plenum
3) Cold Air intake
4) diverter valves
5) new throttle body

I have been recommended to either go with FVD, Softronic or Protomotive for the programming. Right now FVD seems like a pretty attractive option on price, and I like the idea of being able to switch between files using my own computer.

Any thoughts on which program to go with?

I believe all 3 offer the same capabilities in flashing. Now as far as pricing I guess you would have to check their web sites or call them.

Brutish, I have the same car as you do (2005 996 TTS Cab) and live in Irvine (40 miles south of you). Before you spend any more money bring the car over to my house any time to get more familiar with the car and what I know about them.
