Would you say the car is still very driveable? How does it compare to the OEM flywheel in traffic and around town?

Are you experiencing the typical tell tale LWFW chatter at idle?

what are your mods and set-up?

the ECU needs to be adjusted to account for the LWFW; otherwise, you may die off idle as you're experiencing.

i was having great trouble w/ the Hitachi MAF for the gt700 - it died every stop sign/light. from my limited understanding, they took a poke inside the RS and discovered it added some gas at the bottom. they made the adjustment and car runs excellent again.

My ECU is not adjusted to account for the LWFW and it never dies off at idle.

I heard Drew's car today and the rattle is minimal. It's very hard to hear. I've heard others that sounded terrible.

Drew, you've got to give us an entire report on this modification. There are many members contemplating this move. Does it have a steady idle? I was told that the LWFW will cause the ECU to have trouble stablizing the idle because of the reduced weight. How loud is the chatter, really? Is it harder to get it out of the hole? Come on dude, give us a total report.

its very streetable. the clutch feels exactly like the stock one. the flywheel does chatter but it does not bother me at all. with the windows down you barely notice it. windows up you can hear it at idle. its not bad at all though for me anyways, others can be more sensitive. i would suggest you find someone with it and get a ride in their car or drive it. i have not had any ECU issues with idle or anything. it only stalled once.

mine has never died coasting to a stop yet. it only died when i blipped the throttle at idle one time.

my mechanic did say it takes the car a little time to adapt to the lighter flywheel.

I have Kevin's setup as well. The clutch feels like stock, but revs faster. The chatter is there if you listen for it, but it's really no big deal. It doesn't bother me because I know what it is, and you really can't even hear it with the stereo on.
If you have the stereo off and are in neutral with the clutch out it has a little mechanical growl to it. It is more noticable with the A/C on, I don't know why.
Everyone knows the noise goes away with the clutch pushed in, but it also goes away without the clutch in just by putting a little pressure on the shifter as if you were going to put it into gear.
The noise is there, but not as bad as some have made it seem, and I still haven't even done the exhaust yet. Those with aftermarket exhaust would probably hear it even less.

I barely heard the chatter when I heard Drew's car idle today. I'm sure it does help to have a louder exhaust (which I have). This mod is definately on my list along with the LSD.
