I'll be down infront of the JMAC Racing garage, so look for the black, white and gold GT3 with Jmac racing on it...

My car number will be 37.
If your car is an underdog of power, I don't know what mine is.
I'm basically all stock in terms of power. To all the turbo owners who say I have XXX AWHP.....I hate you.
+1 on cup cars being blazing fast.
haha, Ill be interested to see your times compared to mine...Im DEFINITELY the underdog of power (as in stock everything but intake (no programming), headers and straight pipes...I think Im underrubbered and underbraked as well...but I got a hella trick suspension and I know how to use it!

i was 2:00 and 2:01 s in my last 2000 cup car , 2:05 in stock 996gt3 with mich. slicks,,
and I ran the SY 997 gt3 one last year, stock set up, only ran 5 laps in one session and 9 laps in another session and hit 2:07..
there are alot of very fast folks coming to the event, but i can promise you one thing there will be alot of traffic out there ,,, i wouldnt expect real fast times due to traffic, plus it is the first event for most folks and most are shaking things out ...i think i posted a vid on this thread warming the cup up early last year.
I supose the 2 might be in the 2:07 2:10 range for the first few events i doubt i will push to hard ... just dont know he car

Cup cars scare me!!
At Watkins Glen Last Year Matt Einstein went out in Blue run group to lap a few times in the car to get used to it and he passed me just before the busstop at better than 160MPH... I about ruined a nice OMP driving suit.

Shooting for around 6pm if we leave at 4am!!
I will first and foremost be Mike's instructor and this will be my priority for the weekend.
If he "wants" to drive in white on his own we can take a ride together.
Even when I sign someone off I obsess over there performance and well being the entire weekend as I am sure your instructor will also do.
I like to after the sign off and a solo ride to then go out with my student again to see how all goes.
My "student" is a special case however as this is his home track and he is very experienced. I still want us to learn and share alot, but I think we will get out at least once!!

You have weight on your side though...thats why Im against 996 gt3s at clubraces!
you will definitely make it by 6 if yall leave at 4am...it takes me 7hrs from where i am, north of atlanta to get home to tampa. then its only 5 1/2 hrs from here to VIR, if that.
hopefully, you dont get to experience this atlanta traffic on your trip

I am sure you will have a very capable instructor. It is "rare" to have a bad PCA instructor in my experience. Matt would be "THE MAN" at this event.

So are we going to be able to tech on Thursday, so we'll be at the track?
I guess we can leave about noonish then.
On a side note, does anyone have more stuff to do by Thursday than me.
Wash Car (Barber weekend cleaning)
Install Spacers (not bad)
Alignment
Change Tires
Change Rotors
Change oil
Change brake fluid
Change brake pads
I guess we can leave about noonish then.

The only thing that is an issue is the brakes. And after driving Barber, the rotors still have some life left in them. So I may just change the rotors on friday after my last session. Everything else is simple.
