PS2s installed

Very quiet and they ride great. They also look good. There is a lot of surface area for contact on the outer edge of the tire. I bet these things will stick very nicely in hard croners once they are broken in.

Which car are the PS2s on? Source and size? Are they N Rated?

TT, 225/40 and 295/30s, not N rated. Incidentally, I read an article about the CGT in the last couple of days that had the PS2s and the tires it had on are not yet N rated either.

Doug,
I ordered mine today in OEM sizes. Decided to blow off the N rating thing.

Please keep us informed on your insights and observations. Many of us need to make the decision on tires soon.
Thanx.

If it is any consolation, my dealer installed mine. $ 208.00 though.

Check out the tread pattern. They almost look like track tires in person on the outer edge as the groves are very shallow on the outer edge and they have huge contact spaces. They then have the deep center channel for rain.

I agree! Just had PS2s put on friday.(19's) I've put 300 miles on them so far. Looking forward to some canyon driving. I pushed them a little today on a freeway ramp and they were stickin nicely.(Within the posted speed limit of course)

I got bored tonight and took out for some spirited dirving fun. These things are solid and stable at speed. I know these tires are not broken in yet, but dman, this thing drives like it is on rails right now and already feel better than the P-Zeros that I had on there. I was taking some of my slow speed right angle turns I play around on at about 5 mph more than I used to take them with my P-Zeros. These suckers grip, especially when you get into a turn hard and accellerate hard out of it. You can definitely feel the fronts hooking up hard and pulling you through.

With that shallow inner groove and the Turbo's neg camber, these tires will be worn to cord on inside in less than 5K miles , it seems .

Iam hoping they at least last longer than my P-Zeros did!

The PS2's are standard on the GT3 and GT2. They are great tires and really stick well. I have close to 5000 miles (140 on track) on the GT and they are holding up fine in the rear.

Also keep in mind that the PS2 has a "dual zone" tread surface. The inner half of the tires are compounded harder for more uniform wear in cars with high degrees of negative camber. So as MKW says, they actually should wear more uniformily than others. We've given them a good lickin' on our track, and we all LOVE them. I think they are a large improvement from the last generation.
