Ever have one of those days???
SO I had the day all planned out... Get down to the shop and start a fire in the stove by 10AM, get the computer in the car, read it with the UMW scanner and then knock out the 5Bar FPR, and maybe start on the actuator spring mod... Then the wife informs me we're going go the Dr. because her back is killing her, So off we go...Turns out its just a pulled muscle in her back, nothing serious.
We're back and have lunch by 1PM and I'm back on schedule. Fire burning, nice and toasty in the shop, listening to some tunes, computer istalls with no issues, scan goes well... Then I get to the FPR. I had printed off instructions from another member, along with his pics, and so I knew I was in for a little tight quarters wrestling... So first I drop an allen key into the engine bay, and then the clip that holds the oil filler neck.
Then i find my clip that holds the FPR in upside down. For those who have searched and found this particular thread, here is a VALUABLE tip...
Move the air pump all the way to the right, UNDER the three hoses that are blocking it from moving... Lift on them slightly. After 20 minutes of trying not to disturb them, I said "F'it", pulled them up and slid the pump WAY out of the way... This gave me room to get leverage on the clip, pop it out, catch it before it fell into the sweet by and by, and also time to fish around with a magnet and find the allen key and bracket.

So one hour and fortyfive minutes later, everything was installed. I'm awaiting a DIY from Kevin on the actuator mod, and plan to get on that tomorrow. My arms are pretty scraped up from all the "close quarters combat" with that FPR clip!
