February 2, 2008 - 60 to 130 Event at Lonestar in Houston, TX
Anyone can go. Run what you brung. The event is less than a year old...the first of its kind, anywhere, was last year at TX2K7. I think this is the 3rd or 4th.
Thanks for the info.
Two questions? Did you start the event and what type of car do you race?
You are almost there (15 posts that is
). No, I did not start it by any means, it was John Hennessey who owns Loanstar Motorsports Park. The only car I track now is my 996TT but I wouldn't call it racing. I would never call it racing! It is also my daily driver. I have had RX-7s, Miata, and several Datsuns in the past. Feel free to email me: roadsterdoc@yahoo.com

sorry that was the 4.12 sec run from last time.
unfortunately no Porsche will do that... unless we can run more boost.

One day we will see a Porsche do it hopefully!
Bob Helms ran a 4.5 in his auto Supra. His car dynoed over 1K.
My little M3 ran an 8.6. Ryan and Chris each ran a 9.5 in their stage 2 996TT's and Jean ran a 7.9 in his stage 2 997TT. There was a huge turnout and lots of fast cars today. Tommy Bahn was not able to hook up in his 1.5K (!!!) hp Supra.
We shut things down at 3PM due to some sprinkles on the track. We did not want to take any chances with the very high hp cars that were out today. Someone else can report some other times.
I am sure that Peter will send in the files to Scott soon. I think he might be delayed, however, because the last time I saw him his wife was nagging him about picking up the kids as soon as he left the track.

only in blow up mode with 30 psi do we have a chance. You see , we are dealing with aluminum blocks so we cannot compete against the cast iron blocks... not to mention some put cement in them to even run more boost.
just like my evo 8 I can run crazy boost.. but the evo 10 now has the aluminum block as well.. and that will be as challenging as it is in the porsche world to produce boost/power.
I probably have a better shot in evo LOL

Some charts from today:
My friend Rob's totally stock Ferrari 430F1. This was in Race mode and check out how quick the shifts are. Despite 2 shifts, the time is great. His car was chirping the 3-4 shift.

TTGasman's 997TT with Tubi exhaust. This was a 3 shift run which I think would be able to cut alot of time off by starting from 3rd and extending the stock redline to allow hitting 130 in 4th. The 4-5 shift added almost 1.5 seconds to the time. The Tubi sounded really, really good on his TT!

My Stage II 997TT, on a 93/104 octane 50/50 blend. I had 3 almost identical runs

Though I'm happy that I did get a 9.5 though.
