WTB 996TT (01-03) in 03/08, need help with options

Hi guys,

I'm new here & aware (now) that I cannot place a WTB ad in the Classifieds, but more importantly, I'm not 100% clear what options are available for the 996TT's.

Ideally, I'll be buying in March, hopefully a car with some average modifications done to it (off this forum). I'm curious to hear what people say about what I'm looking for, including:

Exterior: Red, Black, Basalt-Black, Charcoal, White, Seal-Grey, or Silver (in that order of preference).

GT2 front & rear tail are desired (LOVE the look).

Wheels would be considered (19's), but I'm fairly particular: attached is a picture of the 18's on my 928s (yes, 19" would be too large for such small fenders).

It appears the PSS9 kit is the best out there, but are there others?? I've seen "JIC", but not sure what that is.

Mechanical mods: Stage 1 or 2 flash with exhaust & diverters would be considered, with an RS clutch upgrade (my wife will be driving this too: her 965 clutch is fine, just dont want to go heavier). RWD would be desired as well.

Interior: Man, where to start:
-Sport seats with deviating stitching
-Tequipment roll bar
-Full carbon interior w/center console
-full leather (hey, is the dash leather stretching issue THAT bad on these cars?? Even Ferrari's dont suffer that too much anymore...comments?)
-Navigation (not that I get lost, I think it compliments the dash, that's all)
-red seat belts
-rear seat removal

I think that's it. Did I miss anything?? Mark.

Mark,
You might consider finding one with a few of the mods you like and add the others yourself. You may not be able to find one equipped exactly the way you want it. There are plenty of them out there, good luck with your search.

Yeah, that was my thought as well... I HAVE to have the GT2 front/rear, & the leather options are expensive to add later (stitching is impossible to add w/o buying a used interior). Carbon appears fairly easy to add.

No no, those are just the options that I'd consider/desire when looking. Im fully aware that such a car with ALL those options doesn't exist. Even if it did exist, it'd probably be "too much" to look at. Somewhere in there is a happy median.

Markski: love watching your video's BTW.

This one is a bit newer, but maybe it fits your bill..... btw, no affiliation with the seller and haven't seen the car, just looking around on the net, it seems nice.

Nice car: I have real estate to purchase this year too, so looking for an 01-03, non x-50.

I hear the X50's have slightly higher compression: is it high enough to hold peak-boost down on pump gas?

I am considering selling mine:

2002 Turbo
Guards Red/ Beige
Original owner, never driven in rain, never tracked
Factory options: Sport Seats, headrest with Porsche crest, alum Shifter/Brake handle, mats
Appearance options: Clear Bra (installed new, then replaced last year with updated film--perfect), clear side markers, front bumper and rear wiper plugs
Performance upgrades: Orton Stg 1 ECU, Cross/JIC coilover suspension, B&M shifter
Fresh fluid service last month by Neil Orton, aligned 6 months ago by Gran Turismo East in Atlanta
Car has 8450 miles and is perfect

Feel free to check with local 6speeders who know the car: Neil @Orton, atlshaver, heavychevy, jenks12m, manalex, etc

Sounds like a nice car. Question: there are two browns (beige) available for interior colors: natural brown (I think) & the beige: is this correct? Any pictures posted anywhere you can direct me to?

Very nice car Dub-U, though a bit out of my price range: I have a real-estate transaction in my future: trying to keep it under 65-70k for now. Things may change by March, who knows.

PS: Love the pic with the underside of the IC showing

I'm not sure how you feel about Lapis Blau, but we happen to have a very, very nice example with a set of (what I believe are) Champions or Speedlines 3-piece wheels.

23k miles...Love the color combo.
