Intermittent Boost Problem - quick question

Recently, when pushing hard in 6th gear, I have noticed that boost will hit 1.1bar, then noticably cut back to 1.0 for a moment, and then return to 1.1bar. It happens infrequently, and only seems to happen in 6th at full boost. It seems to have hit me in the cold weather. Any ideas on what might cause this?

Thanks in advance.

I am at about 10,000 miles, but have had new software for 5-6000 of those miles. Does that sound like the right time for a chipped x50?

Thanks

Make sure you have the right plugs in there (Bosch FR6LD).

K24 cars NEED upgraded wastegates or wastegate springs to maintain full boost of 1.2 BAR.

It sounds to me like leaky diverter valves or just stock wastegates. The exhaust pressure is forcing your wastegates open prematurely and the ECU can not control that because it's a physical limitation.

Not only will the car run more consistent with wastegates, you will gain a lot of midrange torque and top end power with much crisper pedal feel.

Got it. Thanks. I have seen you guys mention this before, just wasn't sure if my particular symptoms were consistent with stock-wastegate-itis. Will check the plugs anyway when i take it in.

Thanks
