My Last Big Mod................MOTON CLUB SPORT SUSPENSION
I had these on a SRT 10 Viper for 2 years and boy did it transform the car into a excellent street car and track weapon. I have pss10's now for 3 years on my tt and would like a set of moton cs for it but am waiting to see if I can find a used pair prior to buying new.
Already have all the hardware mentioned above, only thing lacking is the motons and upper mounts. Dove a buddy's 997tt Friday with the motons and it is amazingly different in a good way compared to what I have.
Great system! Anyone have a set they want to sell for 996tt? Shoot me a pm is so.

Like landjet I picked up a used Moton dual system used.
This thread was one of my 'touchstones' in both the acquisition and the install. Photos helpful. There isnt much detail available on mounting the remote canisters, running an isolating the hoses, etc.
Mine have tarett upper mounts, and the front has the tarett extended length drop links. (New rear sway with tarret rear links too)
Dropped to GT2 heights, no other suspension mods.
Crazy handling, although now it has me chasing new parts...tranny and motor mount next. And I bet once that is done I'll be feeling the rear toe wiggling about which will lead to yet more bits.

Thanks for the added input, I have not seen too many of these up for sale in my days. Sounds like you two hit the jackpot.
How much adjustment do these allow for use in city driving (bad roads)?

All depends on the valving and the springs you choose.
Unlike many of the other suspension kits, you can dial this up to track only competition or compliant stock-like softness....

Just found this thread! This is the best read yet on 6speed. My friend that I bought my 2002 GT2 from highly recommended the Moton suspension. He had it on the car last year for it's final race in the Targa Newfoundland, and he said it was the single biggest improvement to the car above all else. I have been waffling about whether to have it re-installed, but after reading this thread I think I am about sold.
If anyone who knows is still tracking this thread, my only question is if I maintain the stock ride hight of my GT2, which is already very low, will there be any tire rubbing inside the fender wells. When I bought the car I had to replace the front fenderwell liners because they were rubbed through. I was told it was from running race tires, but I wanted to be sure before I drop major coin.

No, the cars from the porsche factory do not rub.

Are you asking 'is there anything about the moton suspension that changes the geometry such that a stock GT2 will run?'..No
I run my TT at GT2 heights with a moton 2 way..AND with 265/35-18s up front and no rubbing. (Pick your offsets well...)

Confused. You have a GT2 at stock (GT2) ride heights...and wondering if that will cause rubbing?!

Thanks for your response. I understand that from the factory the GT2 does not rub, because I have one and it does not rub. I was asking if there is anything about the Moton suspension that changes the geometry (which is already an inch lower than a Turbo) that would cause tire rub. Bottom line, I simply want to retain stock ride height for a 996 GT2, and ensure there is no tire rub.
I've never seen anyone say "I hate my Motons"

my biggest problem now is tires
had Kumho v710 really grippy had a spare set of cups so I put them on for a recent Sebring event - wasn't as fast of a day
Thoughts on what size springs you will go with? I'm running springs 1000lb rear and 750 front
I am waiting to see what the shop and Moton come up with for the car and type of driving I will be doing; mainly street with some track days, not hardcore racing. I will update ASAP. It looks like the two-way adjustable will be the set-up I go with. The three or four way adjustables are $3000+ more, and I am not sure if that is worth it for me. Do you you think they are that much better for the money, for mainly street driving with occasional tracking?
Absolutely NOT!!!!!
You should not put 3-4 way shocks on your car for the street. They are built for the track, and while they can handle the street, setting them up after you get them on will cost a lot more money especially going from track to street. Even the 2-way is somewhat overkill for your plans.
Clubsports will do you well.
