Or the Michael Schumaker F1 school. Nevermind the new technology, will this new Ferrari help me win races and stay infront of the McLarens and BMW's.

I went through sheer hell getting the JIC's right mostly regarding spring rates, my dampening is set at pretty much full stiff
JIC has lousy support when it comes to technical problems, originally they sent me very stiff rear springs installed on the front struts (Go figure?) and also the wrong rate springs in the rear
It was impossible to get the front ride height where I wanted it with the stiff springs
After much research and playing around with spring rates and dampening settings I finally got it right
My alignment rack was tied up for 2 weeks at one point!!!!!!!!
Very stiff ride, race car handling just the way I like it!
The ERP suspension hard parts helped tremendously along with GT3 sways, turns in like a slot car
Hope this helps
Total part investment roughly $4000 and umpteen hours labor

Benjamin,
Well, unfortunately, I do not have before and after lap times. This is my fourth car (three Porsches) that I have taken to the track (280Z>944 Tubo (wonderfully balanced car)>993>996TT). I started tracking in 1987. I would estimate that I have approximately 40-50 track days under my belt at this point. I have driven at Bridgehampton (RIP), Lime Rock, Pocono (all of the courses there) and Watkins Glen. Through the years, I have expereinced the good, the bad and the ugly in terms of handling and I have always, with the 993 exception, tried to improve the handling of my cars so that they were set up as best as possible for my experience level at the time.
I had the 996TT on the track once with the PSS-9's and had to run them full stiff at all four corners to combat the horrendous rear wiggle through high speed corners. Essentially, I was nearly eliminating suspension travel since at the time I didn't realize I was riding on the non-linear elastic bump stops. To say the handling was scary was an understatement. I remember to this day, a comment by a friend of mine while driving, that the car looked like it was going to spin out of control through a high speed left hander with an added vertical curve that loaded the suspension that much more! Just plain scary!! For perspective, it was roughly a 120 degree turn, apex at the valley, 20% grade down to and up from the apex. Speed approximately 120mph.
After installing the Motons, I can say, unequivocally, that they allow me to drive much faster and 100 times more confidently through high speed turns and straights as compared to the PSS-9's riding on the bump stops at GT2 ride height. I can't praise only the Motons though. The ERP Parts eliminated toe changes during loaded corners. Huge improvement!
Although I do not have lap times, I can say that, subjectively, they are a very tangible and enormous improvement.

Thx for your reply.
For for the money, at the time just when they came out, I think that pss9s were a good alternative to stock suspension, without getting hit very hard at the wallet... like one does with Motons.
I do have the Pss9s for almost 3 years... they were installed by Orbit Racing in florida... Roger the owner along with his Pro drivers: Mark LIEB & Peter BARON(Porsche factory drivers- LIEB) actually helped to set up the car.. . and they said that they were comfortable with the set up... and thats after more then a couple of laps at Morosso road track.
I just wanted my car right, because I was pissed as to how the car handled at+ 130mph... especially after trading in the 1999 roadster diablo. As a matter of fact, Peter Baron called me and said: its scary to drive ur car with the stock suspension". One more thing for you guys - Roger put on different sway bars... and finally decided to take them off... it did not do anything to the car... again, that the owner of Orbit racing telling me this. If there was serious problems with pss9s I think they would tell me. I do know however, that he did use some trickery to install them... Ie. changed and or modded some minor parts.. drop links, control arms and some bushings(please dont quote me) its been awhile...Roger even went as far as getting a brand new GT2 loaner from a florida dealer.... just to do research on spring rates, ride hights,etc.....and that was 3 years ago ...just when the GT2 came out. If anyone lives in south florida.... and ever visited Orbit racing... then you know the kind of outfit they run. If I had a gt3 rs cup car for $300k like Roger @ Orbit has for the Rolex daytona 24hour race( which they won 1st place by the way, 2004)... I would probably be fitted with the motorsport Motons. I live in Chicago, I mean Chicago- not suburbia, I dont think i would be able to handle Hard Core racing suspension like Motons.
I think its silly to get a $8k suspension, parts only, and just talk about it, unless u really put it to use at the track... and if thats what one does, then maybe a 996 Turbo is not the way to go... I would get a used GT Cup car from Orbit Racing($150K).... go and race....
... not trying to insult anyone ... to each his own.... I'm just sharing my thoughts.

as stated earlier,
GREAT write-up Ken.
I have a question for Cary Eisenlohr.
Mr Eisenlohr,
do you know why Koni has not stepped into the 996 market and offered any suspension kits?
Being from the 914 crowd, Bilstein & Koni are the two favorite choices for us, but I was surprised that Koni didn't have something for the 996.
I asked this same question of Jason (koni specialist) at Paragon (sp?) Products months ago, he said he wasn't sure why they don't offer a product, that he had suggested that they should, but just didn't seem interested in doing so.
Again, thanks for sharing all of the great information in this thread.

Great technical write up Ken.
This set up looks similar to the Moton Level 3 suspension package that the guys at GMG Racing sell and use on their cars. Here is a link to their site with an overview of the package:
