Stage 4 GT Owners

I've had my STG4 GT/R package installed and on the road for a few weeks now. It's awesome! The additional power is fantastic. I can see where some suspension work will be required. When hammering the gas, the front of the car almost feels like it will lift off the ground.

Here's a question I have regarding the change in the way the car sounds when comparing with the stock K16's.

When accelerating, even very modestly, I can hear a whistling noise that I assume is the turbos spooling up. I can also hear the noise when I lessen the pressure on the accelerator, except the whistling goes from a higher pitch to a lower pitch.

I don’t mind the noise, it’s actually pretty cool. What I’m wondering though is that if others are not hearing this, maybe I have a leak in the intake somewhere. Are you hearing anything that sounds like this?

Thanks, Mike

HAHAHA! It's funny you asked that question. I sent her out on a solo drive. Her first ever. I had to stay home to take care of our new (1st) baby. Thank you Stephen! she doesn't like (driving) the car any more! The power kinda freaked her out and the sensitivity of the performance clutch in conjunction with the light weight flywheel capped it off. I'm sure she will be itching to get behind the wheel if we ever go on a driving trip again, but in town it's all mine!

LMAO...My wife refuses to drive my car. Something about me being a hot head and she wouldn't want to be responsible. What a load of crap. Anyway she was forced to take it to the grocery store a couple of Fri nights ago. I was prepping her 911 for a show and the Treg was at the shop. She said she killed in in front of a bunch of ricers at the store. I laughed. I can see her now. Prior miss Kansas in a speed yellow Porsche, 105lbs and long blonde hair. Swoops into the yellow beast, goes to pull away and about smacks the steering wheel from jerking the car to a halt. Of course the L/W clutch is not a thing that you can get use to in one trip

BTW, you should hear air sucking, not rushing. Any pressure sound and you have a leak.

How do you describe the sound of sucking vs. rushing? If I do have a leak, would my dealer be able to pick it up? They are VERY cool about ths.

Do you think this could be a faulty new diverter valve(s), or more likely a poorly fitted / cracked hose?

You might want to check to see if your waste gate spring is of the correct poundage.

Chad: I would have to rely on Stephen for that one. I would be very supprised if that was the cause of the whisteling.
