Recomend HRE Wheel lip polish?
OK, guys, I just ordered a sample of the metal polish direct from Wizards. I will report back after I get to try it.
Robert, I will be in So Cal this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but perhaps if you are around Monday, we can meet and sample the various polishes?

Doug,
I just got back from LA, picked up my Carlsson CLK. I should be around on Monday if I don't go striper fishing at the Forebay
Call me at the office if you get a chance. (831) 422-9700

OK, so I just received the samples from Wizards. The polish they sent seems to be the typical "wadding cloth" product, pink cotton. They say they sell the same product in a liquid form.
Anyway (unfortunately and as I suspected) it is fairly coarse and makes way too many scratches for me. I will probably need to spend 10 - 20 minutes on the 3/4" x 19" diameter polished rim section (with Mothers billet and the "English custom" products) to get it back to pre-wizards test shine.
I think I would consider it a "cleaner" and brightener - not at all a "polish". It may be good to remove grime and oxidation but leaves behind a finish that is no way close enought to a to a "mirror" finish for me. But I guess I am picky that way.

Do you percieve the results to be so good as to be able to take a brand new "mirror polished" HRE out of the box and "Wizard" 4 inch wide sections alternating around the rim and expect the customer to not see any difference under fluorescent shop lights ?
Maybe it has something to do with my "techniques" (you are supposed to apply the polish with 220 grit sandpaper no?)

The only way you can really tell the difference between a brand new HRE out of the box and 1 that has been applied with a Wizard is if you actually take a really close looks a the lip a few inches away other wise from a distance it really looks brand new. All i do is take a piece of Wizard and just start applying it on the lip. I let it sit for a few seconds and get a really clean cotton cloth and polish it and use a different section of that same cloth to re-polish the lip. Again i'll try and take some pics this weekened and show you.
Thanks Doug!
But you see how the lip is so shiny! One thing that i noticed is that when i drive on the fwy people tend to look and the wheels and i get a lot of compliments on them.
Especially when the sun hits the lips people think it's somesort of a bling bling ice wheel.
