Question Only seeing .1bar of boost!!!!??!?!!?!

I was on my way back from Mikekelly's today. I was on the highway doing 80-90 consistently not running it particularly hard. Then all the sudden all the boost went away and it would only see .1 bar max.

then I stopped, investigated, didnt see any leaks or loose hoses. Then I went back on my way and it was boosting as normal for another 20 minutes or so, I wasnt driving hard, just cruising at .2 to .3 bar or so. Then it was back. I stopped and disconnected the battery. It was fine for another 30 mins, and slow mode appeared again.

I dont think it is hardware since reset of the ecu fixed it temporarily.

Please help!

Let's play 1000 guesses...or you could get the codes read and we have a chance of diagnosing your problem.

TTowsonTT I would like to borrow that, and I plan on being in towson tomorrow.

I forgot to mention there was no check engine lights.

Wross I have read your posts about having codes that dont throw cels, I know I will get the codes read but I figured someone may know something in the mean time.

How's the car running otherwise? Check those lower boost hoses.

I have done a quick visual check of the lower boost hoses and didnt see anything. I need to get up under it to see.

As far as how it runs otherwise, its great. I drove it yesterday, seemed to be boosting fully. I wonder if one of the wastegate acuators' vaccum lines came undone and the computer is taking out all boost to save the turbo? Thoughts?

Dropped into limp mode. Could be a program issue or more specifically a cold solder issue which can happen with solder in programs. The issue is intermittent and will cause you to pull your hair out since it will typically not throw codes. Keep in mind I am guessing like the rest of us but this is based on past experience

While I am thinking about it also check the boost frequency valve and the hoses going to it as well as the lower F pipe on the diverters.

I appreciate your wisdom good doctor!

Its not a soder in program but I am not doubting its program related.

What/where is the boost frequency valve? I have done a visual inspection of the diverters, but I will get in there and really dig around.

Thanks!

I am starting to lean that way esp since they are the evoms, so one of the hoses could have pulled loose. i will check it when it stops raining in bmore, so like May
