Whats a first generation fabspeed exhaust worth? I assume about a grand, but I wanted to sanity check that before posting it in the for sale section.
TIA

You should be able to get $1,400 for it......Its really an awesome exhaust for bigtime hp gains......Its the straight through design that limits back-pressure.

BTW, the cats are guaranteed for life.......mine are getting re-cored now......NO ONE else does that......

Nice, Thanks!
Yeah, makes one of, if not the biggest gains from HP perspective from what I understand. Its loud, but i love the way it sounds.

I run one, it's loud ,it drones, and it makes GREAT power....... btw, I did switch back to a x50 with the "hole" and lost quite a bit of power, I would guess 20-30 hp at least, boost came up much slower so back to the fab gen 1

Oh trust me, it will SUCK......

I had to take mine off because it kept failing the emissions test (bad cats as I stated before). During the past couple of months while I was deciding what I was going to do with it (sell it, buy programming to turn off the CEL light, etc), I've been doing some research on how to reduce the drone. As a result, I will be doing a couple of things that appear to be successful:

1. Welding in vortex cones (I've already bought them) - according to Viper guys this reduces drone 50-75%

2. Another 6-speeder thinks the physical mounting (V-band clamps) creates mechanical vibration that further excites the gaseous pulsation that creates drone. He added standard exhaust clamps to increase system stiffness (raise resonance frequency). He noticed decreased drone after doing this

i am running that exhaust as well, it is loud and the gains are great. i would think if it is in excellent condition with low miles you should be able to get 1300-1400 for it.

I'll second that(maybe it was me) on the v band clamps coming loose/worsening resonance. They have a 1/4" bolt that is only rated at 10nm tq, once I replaced them with the hefty oem clamps problem solved. It's a great exhaust, but the v band clamps blow(sorry Joe).
If you'll notice the tubi cats have a vortex cone at the end of the cat. Also adding rigidity to the can walls themselves with ridges/ribbing will reduce resonance as well.
